# What do I do if my SEO Score is 0?

Guide to kickstarting your SEO Score growth based on screenshots in the tool 🚀

Start by adding competitors here that you think could have an SEO Score and are in your industry:

Now click on the competitor's website in the list to see their keywords and add keywords that are relevant to you:

Now **go to your website** and check if you use any of the 5-10 keywords in the text of your pages.  
  
You can only rank (and get a SEO Score) if you use the keywords on your website.  
  
The keywords should be on your individual pages and each page minimum 300 words long.  
**This is the most important part.** The tool will help you later too.

Now we check what Google can see.

[Go to Google](https://www.google.com/) (new tab) and follow these instructions:  
1. Type **site:yourwebsite.com** (add your own website)
2. Add space and type in the keyword you want to check
3. See how many results are found by Google

If you get 0 results or only strange results, Google is not finding any content relevant to the keyword on your website.

Then we have found the first thing we can work on 👩‍🚀

We can fix that by moving to missions:
Click on Add missions to list and get link missions with step by step guides on how to build natural backlinks from other websites. 
This will increase your Linkscore.

With missions you improve your Linkscore.

Check out the **mission guides** for each mission in particular, they give you step by step instructions for building links 🚀

Now we need to check the last important thing:

Now go to the health tool in the menu.

If your health is below a score of 75 you will need to improve it. This can be done by opening up each tab and following the guides:

Now we've looked at the most important parts of your SEO and what could possibly be the reason why you don't have a SEO Score yet (which is quite normal for new and small websites getting started).
