# How do I fix images without dimensions?

Images without dimensions means that the **width** and **height** attributes are missing from the image in the HTML code. This can mean that the content on the page shifts when the image loads.

###### Why is this a problem?
Without these dimensions, the browser cannot reserve the correct amount of space before the image loads, which causes layout shifts (CLS) that negatively affect the user experience.

###### How do you find the problem on a website?
**In the source code:**
Right-click on the page -> select "*View Page Source*" -> search for "*<img*". Check whether the images have both *width* and *height* specified.

###### Alternative method for checking the issue
If you want to double-check the issue outside of Morningscore, use [**Google PageSpeed Insights**](https://pagespeed.web.dev/). Here, you can test an individual URL and see whether Google itself detects issues related to images without dimensions. If it does not show "*Image elements do not have explicit width and height*", the issue can be ignored in Morningscore. If it does show this message, then Google also detects it as an issue.

**NOTE:** This is not the most important website health issue, but if it is easy to fix, it is better to get it fixed than to leave it unresolved.
